To import my cardex into PDS I'm supposed to export the cardex into an XML file, place it into the server's c://.....filesync folder so that it will work with 5.3. However, the original cdx file that we had mapped is no longer accessed by Point 5.3, therefore I cannot open it to export the database, How do I get the old cardex info into the c://.....filesync folder now. Do I just copy paste the cdx file into the filesync folder now?

Thanks

Configure one instance of Point 5.3 so it runs in conventional mode (not PDS enabled, use Point Administrator).  Configure this Point client so its templates directory contains the conventional Cardex you wish to export to PDS.  Run it and create the XML file and then place it in the PDS FileSync directory so PDS can import it.

Hope this helps.
