| | I realize this could be a lot of trouble to accomplish, but it might be handy for one user to be able to edit a file's converstaion log while someone else has the file open. For example, if the loan officer was working on running a borrower through DU and the assistant was on the phone to an attorney or surveyor, the assistant would need to wait until the officer was out of the file before they could enter what they've done. Another thing that would be helpful would be the ability to backdate an entry. If you called an appraiser earlier in the morning and forgot to enter it until that afternoon or the next day, the conversation log shows the event taking place whenever you get around the putting it in. |

If this can be added, can we add a behind the scenes log that tracks all changes and which users made the change? just in case the wrong user entry is saved.

| | I would think just updates for the conversation log should be allowed. There would be too much risk of something getting messed up in the rest of the borrower file. I can just see two people opening up a borrower's file, one to do the closing docs, enter correct fees, etc., and the other just to check when the termite inspection was ordered. If the person that was just checking on the termite inspection saved the file after the closing docs were done, all that information would be lost... I think a behind the scenes log would be great if someone edited another user's entry. Even something like "amended 08/01/2006 9:30 by John Smith" would be helpful. |
