| I wanted to test this before sending them out to the field. I had 5.2 with alot of templates w/ 100's of records in cardex. Did the upgrade to 5.3 client. Cardex entries are gone.
By default is the cardex overwritten?
Thanks, |

| In 5.2 the cardex entries come right up. Seems you have to click SEARCH to pull up information. Helps when you read it, but if thats the case we will be getting alot of phone calls on that
Thanks! |

| | You can click on Utilities > Search/Display Settings > Auto Display Options and choose Search for all records for Cardex default search. It is set to "off" by default in a PDS environment to save hundreds of users from download huge amounts at the same time. If you had it once set to "off" because the machine was connected to PDS folders, it would be set off when you are not in PDS. You can set it to Search for all records and everything should come up. If you are in a PDS environnent, I believe the default search retrieves 500 records. You'll get an annoying message each time alerting you of that, but click OK and you'll see the first 500 records. Most of the time they can type the first few characters of an entry in the Point screen and launch Cardex and Cardex will find the matching record, so they should not be bothered by the message most of the time.
