| Hi
I just joined this forum, and this website is great. And the Calyx software system is really amazing.
I'm a relatively newbie to the business.
My question is this:
I just recently installed Calyx Point on my computer, and am wondering whether to utilize the auto-naming feature on the software, or to create my own file names.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
What are the pros and cons?
Thank you,
Larry

| If you close between 5 and 10 loans a month maybe the auto filenaming is not needed. But auto filenaming is great if you want your loans to follow a consistent naming format by year, month or day, and not have to worry about what your next number would be. I also recommend to setup different data folders by year, so you have a "Opened 2006" and a "Closed 2006" and "Cancelled 2006", etc...think about how you want to organize your loans and what will be easiest for you to access information at some later point.

| | To be very blunt, I wouldn't dream of not using the auto file naming. |
