I have set up mortgagee clauses in the cardex to be downloaded into the request for insurance form and title insurance request.  However there aren't enough spaces in the cardex for some of the companies.  Below is an example.  For some they have an additional line that has to be handwritten in.

I have the cardex set up as follows:

Job Title - It's successors and/or assigns - this is all the room there is so that on the insurance form I add , ATIMA

Company - Taylor Bean & Whitaker Mortgag - this is all the room there is so I add on the insurance form - e Corp

It would be nice if there were enough spaces in the cardex to accomodate the longer addresses.

Calyx increased the company name to 50 characters in the next release of Point.  You can also modify the field lengths directly if you have MS Access.

Disclaimer: perform these steps at your own risk.  Calyx does not necessarily support the modification of the pointcdx.mdb file. Having said that, I have tested that this procedure is safe. Note: the Cardex is an Access 2000 file.  Do not convert the pointcdx.mdb file to Access 2002 - 2003 format.

1. Close Point if running.
2. Browse to your c:\pnttempl\database folder (the location of your pnttempl may be different if you are on a network)
3. Double-click the file pointcdx.mdb file
4. Click Open if you receive a Security Warning
5. Make sure the CARDEX table is highlighted and click Design
6. Locate the "TITLE" field
7. On "General" tab at the bottom find the entry for Field Size.
8. Change the field size to the desired number
9. Save the Pointcdx.mdb
10. Open Point to test
