I have a prospect data folder full of prospects that I send mailers to on a regular basis. I would like to be able to amend specific fields without having to export and re-import the entire database. I think I've seen a "update existing records" feature but I don't know how to use it?

Advice?

Using import.exe, you can update specific fields in individual files without importing the entire file. This is documented in the Calyx Point Partner information. You can also use other commercial utilities or write your own (www.mtig.biz/pxd.htm). Sorry I can't be more specific about how to do it (confidentiality agreement) but if you have the partner info, you can get it. I have also seen the information posted on the forum sites (old forum). Maybe one of the forum moderators can pass this info on to you.
