I dont know if this is actually a point issue or windows, but basically I want point to print in the background instead of current window.

IE: when I try to print a 10 page doc from point, i click on print, select the network printer I want to print to, then I get this little window that pops up and says print X of X pages...I can't use point at that point until it finishes printing. Is there anyway to get rid of that popup print window to the background or automatically minimize it so I can still use point while printing.

I beleive this happened once we updated to 5.1

thanks,

dude

I suspect its a problem with your print server, perhaps a slow communcation or setting change. Or perhaps the print spooling on your computer was turned off.

If you print a 10-page document from another program, such as a credit report from Adobe Acrobat, do you have the same problem?

My observation is that Point uses the normal Windows printer functions, so the dialogue box stays up on my computer for about 10-seconds while it spools the print job to the computer. And I don't think that's too long to wait.
