I have a client who uses Calyx Point 5.1.  They just upgraded to ACT 2006 recently and now they are having trouble importing data from Point to ACT 2006.  When my client exports client data from Point to ACT, the primary client info, loan amounts, date of loan, etc. do not import to ACT.  Is anyone else having similar issues?

If this makes any difference, but I've stopped them from using ACT6runner.exe and they use ACT6.exe since they were having display issues.

Any info would be much appreciated!

The export template probably needs to be adjusted to match new field definitions. Also, the ACT! import template may be a cause of this problem. The import templates address the fields by number internally. Changing the database format could mess up the mapping.

1. Check the Point export template to make sure everything is there the way you want it

2. Re-map the fields in ACT! when you do the first import and save it to a different file.

If this doesn't solve the problem, there may be an issue with Point. Open the export ascii file and examine it for missing data.
